Artificial Intelligence is focus of Startup Weekend event in Durham - WRAL Tech Wire

DURHAM – Thought leaders, entrepreneurs and more will gather this weekend for a 54-hour competition focusing on Artificial Intelligence.

The Startup Weekend event begins at 6 p.m. Friday night with American Underground @ Main serving as the host site.

The organizers are capitalizing on the Triangle’s growing emergence as an artificial hub for AI development and research from startups to universities, IBM to Microsoft.

“With major investment from both the government and the tech companies, The Triangle area is in a good position to jump on the AI wagon as it is one of the biggest centers of research in the US. It’s time to dive into AI now, but not many people know how to use it, let alone implement it in their products,” Startup Weekend says.
